SeepageSolid
The seepage solid element is used for seepage analysis of groundwater flow through pores in soil. In this formulation, the pore water satisfies Darcy’s law and the continuity equation. Therefore, it is valid only for seepage analysis steps (*Step, TYPE=Seepage). The related elements, sections, materials, and boundary conditions are as follows.
Seepage solid element
- SC2D3 : 2D 3-node triangular element
- SC2D4 : 2D 4-node quadrilateral element
- SC3D4 : 3D 4-node tetrahedral element
- SC3D6 : 3D 6-node prismatic element
- SC3D8 : 3D 8-node hexahedral element
Load
- Concentric : Applies a concentric flux at a node (DOF P).
- Displacement : Specifies a nonzero pressure condition (DOF P), or specifies the total head (DOF H).
- SurfaceDistributed : Applies a flux on an element surface.
Constraint
- Support : Specifies a zero-pressure condition.
Section
- Solid : The assigned material must be a seepage material (
